When Fairy Tales Burn
Another old but relevant poem...I wish my relationship with Jeff worked out...
When Fairy Tales Burn
*Things always have a way of working out
The happy ending is just around the corner...*
To think the sun came out again
It takes a breath and sets the world ablaze
My diamond ring is melting in my burning church
The limo overturned, explodes into red.
I crawl naked away from my ruined dress,
The roses blackening into ashes.
Who said midnight was the deadline?
Magic can end at any time, any day.
My slippers are shattered.
I stay in my tower waiting;
The dragon's playing solitare
With the wicked witch.
I knew my prince once,
But tongues are worse than poison apples.
And now I believe he'll never awaken,
Never return, again...
My dreams are in towers
Of flame and regret
And I'm locked up there
Until...
